We had a wonderful time at the Duck Cup on Sunday, especially given that the weather was so lovely which is a stark contrast to last year. It was great to see so many families and people from the community in attendance, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and the good weather. The weather was so good that we didn’t have any wind and it was a very slow duck race but we got there in the end. Congratulations to our winners: 1st place was Duck 186, 2nd place was Duck 386 and 3rd place was Duck 133, Lucky Duck winners were 382, 053, 105, 216, 223 and 482. The sponsors’ prize went to the Maffra Community Sports Club and our Raffle Prize winners were Eden with 3rd (donated by 3858) and Millie winning 1st (donated by Tinamba Hotel) and 2nd (donated by 3858).
We’d like to thank all our sponsors who support us for this event – we really appreciate their generosity and community spirit. Their contributions will go a long way to adding to the learning experiences of our students. We’d also like to thank the Heyfield Lions Club for volunteering their time and effort to run the sausage sizzle for us. They did a wonderful job and the smell of sausages cooking on the barbecue just added to the atmosphere! Finally, well done to our tireless Parents and Friends Association for organising such a successful event.
