Each of the classrooms will be celebrating NAIDOC week and on Thursday we will be having online sessions with Dance Mob. The P-3 students will be learning indigenous traditional dance that includes a didgeridoo demonstration. The 4-6 students will be learning indigenous hip hop. Hip hop culture has played an important role in Australian First Nations communities since the 1980s. The theme for NAIDOC week is ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’ and it recognises that First Nations peoples have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years.
