Farewell from Mrs Miller

I would like to say thank you to everyone, staff, students and parents, for making my final week at St Michael’s such a memorable one. We have had some lovely celebrations and some very kind words have been spoken about me. I have also received many lovely farewell letters and cards that have made my heart melt. I was especially touched by the thought and planning that went into my surprise party from the students and at the final assembly. I felt like a rock star when the children began chanting my name and gave me a ‘guard of honour’.

It has been a privilege to teach and lead at St Michael’s. I have always felt supported by our school community and have always believed that we have been working to achieve the same goal—providing the best learning environment for our students, your children. Whilst nothing is ever perfect, I think we have gone a long way to achieving that goal and although I leave with some sadness, I also am leaving with pride in what we have achieved together. I know you will give your new Principal, Shane Fyfe, the same support and welcome that you have given me. Enjoy the holidays everyone. God bless!
